This paper examines the problem of constructing digital twins designed to maintain the operational status of small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the face of potential telemetry sensor failure and the lack of mission redundancy. The approach is based on the principle of replacing (emulating) a failed component with a software model capable of operating in real time, generating a stream of generated data. This process, known as fault management, is supported by a set of methods, simulation model algorithms, approaches, and specialized software to overcome the destructive impact of abnormal situations. This problem is solved by developing methods for intelligent analysis of telemetry data, forecasting and restoring lost data, software emulation of failed subsystems, and the generation of control actions.
