Annotation

The paper considers the results of an empirical study of the readers’ reaction to fake news expressed in their comments. A new tool for processing of social media texts TITANIS was applied to study 260 thousand comments to fake news and 260 thousand comments to non-fake messages. It was revealed that an increase in negative affectation, a decrease in readiness for coping behavior and the use of means of emotional impact on the audience are characteristic of fake news discussions.
