Boris Kobrinsky at the VI All-Russian conference Artificial Intelligence in Health Care ITM-AI

From 8 to 9 February the VI All-Russian conference Artificial Intelligence in Health Care ITM-AIŠ” was conducted online. Over 1000 specialists from 72 subjects of the Russian Federation took part in it. Among the conference sponsors was the Russian Association for Artificial Intelligence.

Boris Kobrinsky, the head of the 75 department of the Russian Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, was among the speakers. He raised a question of the quality of medical data used by supercomputers designed in a homogeneous environment. According to him, IBM Watson with an installed AI system showed only targeting effectiveness, why the US health facilities stopped using it and even sued IBM:


"The system's recommendations led to negative results during treatment. And in Denmark the accuracy level was as low as 33%. European clinics practice different approaches".
