Functionally enriched frame

Annotation

This article discusses a functionally extended frame. The need for such a frame representation stems from the importance of accounting for uncertainty in the descriptions of qualitative attributes and the inherent measurement error of numerical attribute values. For this purpose, the probabilities of occurrence of attribute values are represented by their distribution density functions. The inclusion of visual images in the frame is also considered. An example of the possible use of the extended frame within an intelligent decision support system is presented, using the medical domain as an example.
